The pamela Catherine Haas Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc.
This scholarship was organized in memory of Pamela Catherine Haas who was tragically killed in an auto accident on July 15, 1998. Pamela graduated from Brazos High School in 1991 and Texas Lutheran University in May 1998. She was very involved in community service work. Pamela taught Girl Scouts as Director of Horseback Riding Program at Camp Mitre Peak for eight summers. (On July 22, 1999, the riding arena at the camp was named “Pamela “Rebel” Haas Arena” in her memory.) She participated in the Honduran Veterinary Project each of five summers performing veterinary work with the people of Honduras. Pamela worked as veterinary technician while a student at Texas Lutheran University. She was active in Fort Bend County 4-H, Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Swimming, Band, Flag Corp., F.H.A, Fort Bend County Fair, Houston Livestock Show, and Lone Star and Permian Basin Girl Scout Councils. Pamela was a member of the Certified Horsemanship Association and was certified in both English and Western Riding. Pamela loved animals. The objective of the PAMELA CATHERINE HAAS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND, INC. is to financially assist students who have interests similar to those of Pamela Haas.
